Lyoto Machida: “I feel more complete, because I know the victory and defeat”

After winning the first sixteen professional fights in his MMA career former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida has since tasted defeat for the very first time as he was knocked out by fellow Brazilian Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua last month at UFC 113 where he also lost the title of champion in the process. But now that he has experienced losing for the first time, ‘The Dragon’ says that he feels more complete now that he no longer has that pressure of being unbeaten, and that is if he ever felt any pressure to begin with.
Quotable from Portaldovt.com.br:
“This fight was a great learning experience for me”, said Machida, “I´m already fell a more complete man, because as my father even said, I already know victory and defeat, so I feel more complete for it”.
Machida who is now recovering from an orbital injury he had suffered in the UFC 113 loss to Shogun Rua, vows to make his return at some point later this year and can not wait for his next fight whoever it may be, so Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, Forrest Griffin or any other UFC light heavyweight might want to clear their schedules for an all out full training camp to prepare for a very hungry dragon.
