Josh Neer expects a war against Eddie Alvarez at Bellator 17

UFC Veteran Josh Neer will square off against the Bellator Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez in the non-title 160pound Catchweight fight at Bellator 17, this evening. Josh Neer is currently on a two-fight winning streak, after his departure from the UFC in October of the last year, after losing back to back losses to Gleison Tibau and Kurt Pellegrino.

Twenty-six year old Eddie Alvarez is currently considered as one of the top Lightweights in the world, holding an impressive 19-2 record. "The American Knuckle Star" Alvarez has notable victories over Joachim Hansen, Tatsuya Kawajiri and Toby Imada.

Also at the event, Roger "El Matador" Huerta will continue his path in the Bellator Lightweight Tournament, fighting the 10-3 Pat Curran. Huerta has submitted previously unbeated Chad Hinton at Bellator 14, claiming the first victory since defeating Clay Guida at The Ultimate Fighter Finale 6.

The event will take place at the Citi Performing Arts Center: Wang Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts.
